“Walking in Authority: Reclaiming your Identity”
From the very beginning the enemy of our soul has made it his task to make us forget who God has called us to be. His first maneuver was to remove man from the constantly accessible presence of God when he tempted Eve.
Because in
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
God had created man with characteristics that He possessed and He desires for man to live that out. I believe strongly beloved, that God in that moment was saying, even as how I have dominion in the heavenlies I am granting you that dominion in the earth.
PAUSE
God was literally saying: You are going to rule like Me in the earths domain.
I also believe that God would come and commune with man to also remind and teach man of who he was created to be.
So the devil duped man to break that bond, and sever that constant accessible presence of God. And even though God has provided the tools through putting His heart into word form and allowing His son as the key to reconciliation through salvation… we continue in confusion because of the devices of the devil and I can say to you beloved it is for that very reason that too many Christians live defeated lives.
Beloved I challenge you to understand: WE HAVE FORGOTTEN WHO GOD HAS CALLED US TO BE.
So tonight we want to talk briefly about:
“Walking in Authority: Reclaiming your Identity”
As time would allow me I will speak on two potent areas on the journey to reclaiming your identity. Two questions I want to ask and the first is
What is your mindset?
One area the devil will always attack is the mind, Give experience of fear in sales. (90 secs)
So he seeks to fill you mind with fear. You see the devil knows the power of fear.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Holy Spirit said to me
Fear is the weakness of power, the enemy to love and the destruction of a sound mind. That’s why the bible encourages us that love casteth out all fear, and teaches us that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

See the only way to prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, is to have your mind renewed through His word.
So ask yourself this; am I living out God’s perfect will or am I allowing fear to saturate my mind, doubt to weaken me and cloud my true identity. Am I living the narrative God wants me to live or the narrative the devil has lied to me about. What is my mindset???
The second question to ask yourself as you journey to reclaiming you identity is
What is your speech??
Casting lots causes contentions to cease,
And keeps the mighty apart.
See the bible says
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
NKJVDeath and life are in the power of the tongue,
There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
and many times we quote that scripture to
Give experience of feeling ill. (90 secs)
Because what ever you say beloved, Heaven backs it up.
Matthew 18:18
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
Beloved you have to get excited about that scripture!! It says that whatever Adam called them it was… I ask you this what are you calling the situations around you?? Or you naming it victory or defeat? Or you calling it a blessing or a curse.
Beloved I want to close with this point. I want to encourage you tonight to shake off the shackles of restraint the devil has put on you and once again by the renewing of your mindset and the recalibration of your speech to WALK IN AUTHORITY AND RECLAIM YOUR IDENTITY
